Thank you for your interest in breeding to Diggers Rest.  If you have questions, please call us at 303-618-0749.  Digger has enjoyed a 15 year show career, winning many national titles in reining and working cowhorse events.  He is the all-time second highest point earning offspring (of 2314 foals) sired by Peppy San Badger, with 222.5 AQHA points.  Diggers Rest was the 1996 AQHA High Point Working Cowhorse and was reserve champion in the 1993 NRHA Derby Limited Open division.

While this long show career is a testimony to his physical and mental soundness, most importantly he has proven his ability as a sire to pass it on. With no Doc Bar in his bloodlines, he is a great outcross for many of today's modern mares.

In the October 2004 AQHA Journal, Diggers Rest was ranked 21st all-time Leading Sires of AQHA working cowhorse point earners.  His offspring have won $136,000 to date in reining, cowhorse and cutting competitions.  In 2004, his offspring won numerous titles in reining and working cowhorse events:

Dig A Lil Nicnn

Another daughter, Dig This Bay Babe, is the mother of Shiny Black Shiner. The black stallion is also sired by Smart Shiner. Darren and Shiny Black Shiner have been consistent performers in the reining and cowhorse contests.

Midnight Digger is the dam of Diggers Midnite Jazz, a stallion sired by Jaz Poco Goldun Blue. He is owned by Darren and Shai Kaneti and stands in Israel. Shai won the 2006 Year End championship titles in the Novice Horse Reining, NRHA Circuit Snaffle Bit/Hackamore and the Open Cowhorse.
